Manchester Film School Facilities

Two UCEN Manchester students using camera equipment

In September 2022 we opened our brand new City Campus Manchester, located just a 2-minute walk from Manchester Victoria Station.

Here you will benefit from some fantastic new facilities that we have developed specifically for your studies at the Manchester Film School. This includes:

  • a huge, fully equipped 247m square film and TV studio with access to a machine shop for building sets
  • a 117m squared teaching studio
  • fully equipped production and post-production sound rooms
  • five editing suites and two mac suites
  • a state-of-the-art Foley suite

Both studios are double height and have access to an infinity green wall that will enable you to add a touch of Hollywood to your productions and bring them fully to life.

You will be located next door to the Make-up Artistry and Special Effects department to enable cross-curriculum working for performances and productions, ensuring that everything you do is produced to a professional standard. Furthermore, this will foster cross-collaboration between you and other students form other creative disciplines, allowing you to both gain an understanding of them and network with fellow future professionals.

These amazing new facilities will provide you with access to everything you will see once you enter the workforce, giving you the best possible chance to prepare for a future career.

You can see what campus you’ll be based at when you apply on our course pages. Search courses now.
