Clubs and Societies

The clubs and societies at UCEN Manchester reflect our diversity and the passion of our students.
We want everyone to feel like there’s a group for them, so our Students’ Union is always open to ideas and suggestions for new clubs and societies.
To get in touch about starting your own or joining one of the clubs or societies below contact SU@ucenmanchester.ac.uk
All our societies are accessible via social media and offline taking place in our Students’ Union spaces.
Some of our current SU societies include:
Creative Networking Society
Network with students across our creative departments. It’s a great opportunity for any student who wants to utilise knowledge and skills of other students and collaborate on projects, share ideas and attend extracurricular events.
Fitness Society
The Fitness Society is a place where you can discuss and meet with enthusiastic individuals who value health and wellbeing. Members of this society are able to use the gym and have access to a personal trainer (campus dependant).
Football Society
The football society trains regularly on our Nicholls campus, so come along and take advantage of our fun and competitive training sessions. We have lots of regular fixtures in our calendar, so there are always opportunities to join and have the chance of travelling with us to win some matches against other college teams!
Our training sessions are twice a week and fixtures are usually on Wednesdays.
LGBTQ+ Society
The LGBTQ+ Society provides a safe, welcoming space to meet and socialise with other LGBTQ+ students. We support each other with any problems we’re having, play games and enjoy the chance to relax and be ourselves.
The society is fully inclusive of trans members and we give everyone a chance to introduce themselves with the name and pronouns they want to use at our meetings, even if those aren’t the ones they use the rest of the time.
Photography Club
Each month, all members are given a design brief to work towards. Once all photographs have been taken and submitted, the group vote for the best one. The winning photograph gets featured on @tmcsu and showcased on campus.
Tech Society
Open to all, the Tech Society aims to share technology and computing knowledge with one another, learn industry skills, and fight for environmental issues in technology.
