January starts are now open for applications. Explore our one-year degree level courses (HNC's) that you can complete in as little as eight months to get you qualified or ready to progress to the next level by September.
Our HNC's are a brilliant way to build your confidence, skills and qualifications one year at a time.
They're a great stepping stone onto a degree but also allow you to step away at the end of the year with a recognised qualification that'll help you improve your career opportunities and earning potential, regardless of whether you choose to progress or not.
This makes them a perfect choice for anyone nervous about committing to a three-year degree, or who may need to think about balancing a degree with long term commitments or changing circumstances.

All courses are due to commence on Monday the 11th of January. Please note due to the national lockdown all courses will be delivered online to start with blended learning to re-start once face-to-face delivery can resume.

Your learning will cover a non-specialist computing pathway, which will allow you to gain a qualification without committing to a particular professional specialism.
Your first year will comprise of a broad range of subjects and optional units covering a range of occupational areas that will help you to gain essential skills and experience, before choosing specialist subjects to progress onto the next level.
Study a multi-disciplinary course across a range of Built Environment topics and progress directly into employment with this HNC in Construction and The Built Environment.
Develop your practical skills throughout the entire course, as well as advancing your specialist knowledge and understanding in this industry.
The Pearson BTEC Level 4 HNC in Health and Social Care (Health Pathway) provides a specialist work-related programme of study that covers the key knowledge, understanding and practical skills required in the health and social care sector and also offers particular specialist emphasis through the choice of specialist units.
BTEC Level 4 HNCs provide a nationally recognised qualification offering career progression and professional development for those already in employment and opportunities to progress into higher education.

This degree-level course is available as an 8-month fast option which allows you to start in January and finish by August, ready to progress onto an HND or the second year of a Foundation Degree when the new academic year starts in September.
Depending on your specialism and successful completion you will be able to progress onto one of our media degrees which include Animation, 3D Modelling or Graphic Design. To ensure a smooth transition, you'll join classes from the FdA degree of your choice dependant on your progression aims. This will also allow you to integrate with other students.
This one-year qualification, allows you to build confidence and develop your skills, whilst quickly developing so you can progress onto your next steps, whether they be in industry or onto the next level of a degree.
