UCEN Manchester has been shortlisted in the national What Uni Student Choice Awards, for the second year running, in the Best Further Education College category.

The Awards are the only university experience awards ceremony based entirely on student reviews and aim to reflect the diversity of HE in the UK, offer prospective students insight into a range of different institutions and celebrate student satisfaction across the board.

UCEN Manchester’s Vice Principal and Dean, Michael Walsh, said: “It is absolutely fantastic to be shortlisted for this award two years in a row, especially as it’s based entirely on the reviews of our students."

All of our tutors and support staff work incredibly hard to provide a personal and supportive learning environment for our students and take great pride in UCEN Manchester, so this really is a reflection of a successful whole-team approach.

Michael continued: “It’s a phenomenal achievement and makes me incredibly proud that our students are happy here.”

Katie Duncan, Head of Communications at IDP Connect who run the awards, says: “In a challenging climate for Higher Education institutions, there is nothing more rewarding than being recognised by their students for delivering such positive experiences. The reviews by current students that make up these nominations are invaluable for prospective students who use them to make decisions about their future.”

Winners of all 15 categories will be announced at the ceremony at The Brewery in London, on Thursday 25 April.
