UCEN Manchester up for What Uni’s Best Further Education College

UCEN Manchester has been shortlisted in the national What Uni Student Choice Awards, for the third year running, in the Best Further Education College category.

The Awards are the only university experience awards ceremony based entirely on student reviews and aim to reflect the diversity of HE in the UK, offer prospective students insight into a range of different institutions and celebrate student satisfaction across the board.

UCEN Manchester’s Vice Principal and Dean, Michael Walsh, said:

We are delighted to be shortlisted for this award for the third year in a row. What makes this particularly sweet is that these awards are based entirely on the reviews of our students, providing a glowing endorsement of the experience that we offer to them.

All of our tutors and support staff work tirelessly to provide a personal and supportive learning environment for our students, so this really is a reflection of a successful whole-team approach.

Michael continued: “It’s a fantastic achievement and makes me incredibly proud that our students are happy with everything that we work so hard to provide them with.”

Cherie Metcalf, Head of Marketing and Communications at IDP Connect, says: "The UK’s Higher Education institutions represent the future for so many people both within the UK and from overseas whether they are starting out or further progressing their academic journey. Expectations are always very high, which makes receiving recognition in the form of real student reviews such a wonderful honour.

“The WUSCAs reflect the voice of the student, and for an institution to have been nominated in 2020 means they are making a significant, positive difference to the experience, and the lives, of their students.”

The award ceremony will take place in London on Thursday 23 April and will be hosted by Claudia Winkleman.
