After achieving a distinction in our Business Management Foundation Degree, Nada is taking on an internship with Rolls-Royce to kick her career into the next gear.
Nada Sager has earned a coveted internship with Rolls-Royce after using the skills and confidence she gained during her Business Management Foundation Degree to win the role.
We spoke to Nada about how she secured an internship with Rolls-Royce, why she decided to study at UCEN Manchester and more.
I originally went to a different university, but I didn't like its traditionality. I wanted to go for a more non-traditional route, and UCEN Manchester was one of the universities with a foundation degree, so that really piqued my interest.
I applied to multiple different internships and was lucky enough to get one at Rolls-Royce. I picked up a lot of skills during my course that helped me to secure this internship.
I'm very interested in a career pathway in project management, logistics or travel planning for engineering-focused firms.
I've gained a good understanding of several sectors of business, accustomed my skills to these sectors and now I realise I'm really interested in the information-based topics.
I've also found that my confidence and communication have increased quite significantly.
I was excited to share my results and internship with my teachers, parents and friends. My teachers were some of the first people I told when I got the internship. I was excited to tell my parents too, since they've been super supportive during my university journey.
It feels good to tell people I've got these amazing grades and this internship.
