“Screenwriter: Nata Gobjila”
Look out for the credit in a theatre programme or at the end of a movie, as Nata sets out on her dream career.
The 32-year-old has completed an Access to Higher Education Diploma in English, Writing and Media with UCEN Manchester, and is progressing to Manchester Metropolitan University to study English and Creative Writing.
“I have learned everything I need, and I now feel confident that I will do great at university,” Nata said, reflecting on her time at UCEN Manchester.
I am proud I achieved my diploma. I am extremely thankful to my tutors, Glenn and Steven, who went above and beyond to help me get where I am today.
Nata enrolled with UCEN Manchester “with no hesitation” after reading online reviews, and her experience has exceeded her expectations.
She said: “I am glad I chose UCEN Manchester because I felt fantastic here, starting with the staff who helped me enrol and finishing with my classmates who were always supportive.
“At times it was difficult and stressful, as English is not my first language, but mostly it was fun and engaging. My tutors, Steven and Glenn were amazing. Every piece of feedback I received and the support they provided; I cannot tell you how much it meant to me.
“Habiba and Michelle were always there to help. They were the ones who kept motivating me and were pushing the limits I set for myself. They made me believe that my dream can become true and that I have the knowledge and perseverance to do it. An enormous THANK YOU to them.
“It also happened that I got the best classmates ever, who made me feel at ease and welcomed.”
Nata’s long term career goal is to write a film about the society we live in and how we can each contribute to its wellbeing, but first she wants to try her hand at writing drama for theatres.
She’s already recommending UCEN Manchester to some friends who are thinking of returning to education. Are you in the same boat? Find out more about our Access to Higher Education courses today.
