The Integrated Health and Social Care degree has set Manal on the path to turning her dream career into reality.
Manal Eissa is one step closer to her goal of becoming a qualified adult nurse after receiving first-class honours in our BA (Hons) Integrated Health and Social Care course.
We spoke with Manal about achieving first-class honours, what she enjoyed about studying at UCEN Manchester, her long-term goals, and how the skills and knowledge from her course have helped her in her job at A&E.
I feel proud. I'm so excited because I achieved first-class honours. It wasn't easy, but I finally got there.
I enjoyed how supportive the tutors were, especially Adam Sleeman, he’s my favourite tutor. He's a nurse and he’s my role model.
Next, I'm planning on doing an MA in Adult Nursing and in two years, I'll be a qualified nurse. I'm so excited because it's been a long journey, but I'm nearly there.
My dream is to be a PhD researcher. I plan to be a doctor in eight years.
I've taken what I've learnt in my course and applied my new skills to my role at the hospital and in the healthcare sector. My course gave me new skills that changed how I approach work and deal with patients, legislation and regulations.
I highly recommend studying at UCEN Manchester and believe it's the right place for everyone.
