Students Clearing timelines for 2020
Key dates for your higher education diary.
Summer has arrived and so has our countdown to clearing and results day.
Here at UCEN Manchester, we’ve put together a handy list of key dates and timelines so you know exactly what to expect when it comes to clearing.
Tuesday 30 June – 6pm
2020 entry applications received after 30 June are entered into clearing.
You can still apply with up to five choices until 6pm on 30 June. After this, your application will automatically be entered into Clearing.
Monday 6 July 2020
Clearing 2020 opens.
It is also the International Baccalaureate (IB) results day.
Monday 13 July 2020
Universities and colleges decide on their offers.
We have until today to make you an offer (if you applied by the 30 June).
If you didn't get the offer you were hoping for, you can still try our clearing channels for another chance. Call our clearing hotline on 0161 674 7777.
Monday 20 July 2020
Let us know by today if you accept our offer.
If you’ve received an offer from us, you must reply to us by today otherwise your application will be entered into clearing if you're eligible.
Tuesday 4 August 2020
2020 SQA results are published today.
Wednesday 12 August 2020
BTEC results are published by this date.
The actual date might vary depending on your and when your tutors submitted relevant paperwork to the examining board.
Some results will be published at the end of July, a few weeks before A-level results, giving you a head start on securing your university place.
Thursday 13 August 2020
A Level results are published today
If you've studied A Levels, today is the day you'll receive your results.
This is also the day that adjustment opens – this is if you’ve exceeded the conditions of your first choice and you want to swap for an alternative course. Adjustment is available until 31 August.
Monday 7 September 2020
If you have any outstanding offer conditions, they must be met by today – otherwise, you might not be accepted.
Monday 21 September 2020 – 6pm
Deadline for all UCAS undergraduate applications
If you’re looking to start your studies with us this year, all UCAS Undergraduate applications for courses with 2020 entry must be submitted by 6pm.
Thursday 15 October 2020 – 6pm
Applications for most courses in medicine, veterinary medicine/science, and dentistry for 2021 need to be submitted to UCAS by 6pm.
Tuesday 20 October 2020
Final deadline for adding clearing choices in Track, and final date for us to accept applicants in Clearing.
