2023 Arden School of Theatre graduate Amy Tara has been cast to star as Detective Sloane in the U.S. mystery-thriller 'Dream'.

The film tells the story of a group of friends who are led by a dream to uncover what they believe may be a trafficking industry in their small working-class town. 'Dream' will begin filming in Los Angeles this June.

Reflecting on how studying at UCEN Manchester helped her reach her acting career aspirations, Amy said: "After auditioning at various drama schools, The Arden School of Theatre emerged as the place where I felt most comfortable and confident due to the dedicated tutors, with their wealth of industry experience and genuine passion for the craft.

"The Arden helped me step out of my comfort zone, take risks, and strengthen my love for the art of acting. Looking back, I'm proud to call The Arden my 'home', and I'm thankful for the foundation it built, which is helping me continue my journey as a professional actor."

Rachel Austin, Head of Third Year Actors at The Arden, commented: "Since graduating in 2023, Amy has already done so much professional work in Theatre, Film and TV.

“There was never a doubt, from that first audition to her final show at The Arden, that Amy was going to do great things.”

"Amy is dedicated, polite, determined, and curious - the fundamentals of a good actor. We are all very proud of Amy's achievements, and we can't wait to see her on the big screen."
