Overview

If you have always had an interest in leadership and management and enjoy finding out about the world of commerce to develop your career. The HND Leadership and Management will give you at Level 4 units the foundations of learning by providing a broad introduction to business and different business functions. This develops and strengthens core skills while preparing the student for study at Level 5 or to enter employment with the qualities necessary for job roles that require some personal responsibility.
Students will gain a wide range of business knowledge and relevant practical skills gained through the different assessment methods, this will take the form of research, independent study, and workplace scenarios. Students are involved in activities that help them to develop vocational behaviours, communication, teamwork, research and analysis, which are highly valued in higher education and the workplace.

Applicants with no formal academic qualifications may be considered for entry. All nonstandard entry applicants will be interviewed by the programme team to assess suitability.

All of the books required for the course are available from the library. However, many students choose to buy some of the core textbooks for the course and/or a laptop. You may also need to print your assignments and other documents.

Campus printing costs start from 5p per page.

Estimated costs are £300 for a laptop up to £100 each year for books and printing.
