If you have ever thought of becoming a Pharmacologist, Medical Scientist, Biochemist, Optometrist, Scientist (natural or physical), and have the necessary experience but do not have the necessary qualifications, the Access to HE Diploma Combined and Medical Sciences course could be the one for you.

This course is widely recognised by many higher education institutions and introduces you to a supportive learning environment using a variety of methods including lectures, seminars, tutorials, practical laboratory sessions and private study.

You study module in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The type of units studied are aimed at preparing you for both further studies at university and employment.

To be eligible for this Access to Higher Education Diploma, you’ll need a GCSEs at grade C/4 or above in both Maths and English Language. We will also accept IELTS at 6.5 or above with no aspect under 6.0 in place of GCSE English.
There will be a variety of assessment methods which may include examinations, assignments, presentations and practical laboratory work. You will be assessed at the end of each unit.
Depending on your circumstances, you may need to pay tuition fees for this Access to Higher Education Diploma.
