If you have ever thought of becoming a Pharmacologist, Medical Scientist, Biochemist, Optometrist, Scientist (natural or physical) or Operating Department Practitioner, and have the necessary experience but do not have the necessary qualifications, the Access to HE Diploma Combined and Medical Sciences course could be the one for you.

This course is widely recognised by many higher education institutions and introduces you to a supportive learning environment using a variety of methods including lectures, seminars, tutorials, practical laboratory sessions and private study.

You will studying units in Modules; Biology, Chemistry and Maths. The type of units studied are aimed at preparing you for both further studies at university and employment.

To be eligible for this Access to Higher Education Diploma, you’ll need a GCSEs at grade C/4 or above / Functional skills at Level 2 or above in both Maths and English. You can study a GCSE alongside this diploma, if you do not have these grades in one subject or the other.
At the end of each unit on this course you will be assessed by a variety of methods including examinations, assignments, presentations and practical laboratory work.
