UCEN Manchester students celebrated at 2018 Student Excellence Awards
Glitz and glamour at the Hilton Deansgate Hotel for this year's fantastic awards night
UCEN Manchester students were celebrated in last night’s (21 June) joint UCEN Manchester, The Manchester College and Total People Student Excellence Awards 2018.
The awards, which took place at the Manchester Hilton Deansgate Hotel, were UCEN Manchester’s first as a stand-alone higher education organisation.
Second year Broadcast Production student, Rylan Ashley Lewis, scooped the hotly anticipated UCEN Manchester Student of the Year award, which was sponsored by Reeds.
Rylan said: “I’m so surprised! I’d like to give a big shout out to everyone at UCEN Manchester, particularly everyone at Fielden campus – I wouldn’t be where I am without them, they’ve supported me from the get go.”
Michael Walsh, Vice Principal and Dean of Higher Education, said: “What a night! It’s brilliant to have the opportunity to celebrate our students and their achievements. Special congratulations go to Rylan - he’s a fantastic role model and always goes the extra mile to help his fellow students.”
