Top 10 for UCEN Manchester

UCEN Manchester has been named in the top 10 FE Colleges providing higher education for the second year running, according to the Whatuni? Student Choice Awards.

Celebrations are in order for UCEN Manchester after it was rated one of the top 10 FE Colleges providing Higher Education for the second year running.

The Whatuni? Student Choice Awards is the only awards based entirely on student reviews, which this year were submitted by exisiting students between March 2018 and February 2019.

Not only did UCEN Manchester maintain its eighth place in the table, but its overall category score increased from 3.73 to 4.29 out of a possible score of five.

UCEN Manchester’s Vice Principal and Dean, Michael Walsh, said: “To have reached the top 10 for the second year running and to have improved our overall score so significantly is absolutely fantastic.

“Receiving such an amazing score from the students who attend UCEN Manchester is testament to all the continued hard work and commitment from all our tutors and support colleagues, who help to provide a personal and supportive learning environment for our students.”

This year’s strong results are a clear indicator that despite the increasing cost associated with accessing a university education, students recognise and value the opportunities, support and teaching that they receive.

Over 41,000 students participated in this year’s annual review of 160 UK institutions. Existing students score educational establishments on various aspects of their experience. The results help future students find the right place of study, and also help establishments to continually improve.
