The Apprentice star, Adam Corbally, joined young entrepreneurs for an Enterprise Day

Adam Corbally, an inspirational speaker and former contestant on ‘The Apprentice’, hosted UCEN Manchester’s Enterprise day at the Openshaw Campus offering specialist advice to young entrepreneurs in the making.

Adam left home and school with no qualifications but became a financial success by starting his own businesses and investing his time in adult education.

His visit to UCEN Manchester encouraged students to take lesson from his own experiences as he challenged up to 70 School and Sixth Form students to create a product idea, develop a brief and pitch to a board of ‘Dragons Den’ style judges.

Adam commented, “We had a fantastic event today, all the students from local school in the area were fully engaged and I think everyone really enjoyed it. UCEN Manchester have been absolutely brilliant to work with and I look forward to working with them in the future.”

Since his appearance on The Apprentice, Adam has spoken at leading venues including the Tower of London, ICC, NEC, Macron Arena to a host of different businesses along with over 300 Education establishments all over the U.K. to over 30,000 people.

His message is now about becoming the best version of yourself; he advises you to surround yourself with brilliant people and bring out the best in those around you, enabling you to create and take the opportunities that you deserve.

Sophie Heaton, Higher Education Engagement Officer, Student Experience and Engagement said, “Today has been a great way for students to start thinking about future career prospects. We wanted to excite and engage the students and Adam’s status has really elevated the experience. Having him here, as an example of what you can achieve when you work hard, is the exact message we want to deliver.”
