If you have previously taken assessor training courses and now have experience in completing assessments, you may want to learn how to carry out the internal quality assurance of assessments in your industry. If so, this Level 4 Award is for you.
You’ll be able to work towards the qualification within your own organisation with a flexible study approach, as you focus on understanding the principles and practice of internally assuring the quality of assessment. You’ll then complete a practical unit in the workplace where you can put your skills to the test.
Your assessor will meet with you to provide support and coaching at times that suit you. You’ll also have access to a full library of learning support materials and an electronic portfolio.
In order to enrol on this course, you must already be a qualified and experienced assessor, working in a learning environment that has assessors who are working with learners. You’ll need to meet any occupational requirements and qualifications for quality assurance assessment in your industry too.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills should be a given, and we’ll ask you to complete an eligibility checklist and attend an interview before offering you a place on the course.
You’ll be using questions in the form of a workbook and by taking part in a professional discussion with your assessor for one of your units. For the second practical unit, assessment will take the form of observations by your assessor, accompanied by supported evidence.
