What will we be talking about?

Join us as we ask some important questions of the Criminology and Public Services team

  • What’s the correlation between social media and non-invasive cosmetic surgery?
  • How do budget cuts impact on youth crime?
  • How is professional policing working nearly 200 years on?

Our students ask and answer some key questions during their studies. In this session our tutors explore some of the questions they raise, talk about where students take their inspiration from and tell you more about the research and projects our students undertake on our Criminology and Public Service degrees and how they’re shaped by contemporary issues.

What will I be studying?

Our Criminology and Public Services department covers a diverse range of specialisms such as politics, criminal law, partnerships and multi-agency, policing and offender management, contemporary issues in public services and criminology in practice. Our tutors are committed to delivering these key lessons, utilising superlative expert knowledge, industry links and, most importantly, passion and enthusiasm to motivate students to work in these sectors.
